FluxWorks LLC was honored to be invited to meet with leaders in the Army Futures Command as well as industry at the VERTEX | Energy event at the Capital Factory in Austin last week. Here, founders, investors, and market experts could all have the opportunity to baseline product differentiation while informing the Army’s approach energy and power.

“A&M first gave us the education to develop the technology and business plan, which is a gift already. Receiving prize money for the business to purchase back our IP and begin product development would be stunning to us both, showing that A&M would go above and beyond, supporting our new venture financially. We look forward to the valuable feedback and the people we get the chance to meet, regardless of the competition outcome.”
FluxWorks is a developer and manufacturer of magnetic gears and magnetic gear integrated motors that works closely with clients to design, construct and implement a magnetically geared motor solution that replaces mechanical gears or direct-drive motors. The first product is a 5 kW magnetically geared motor serving the unmanned delivery drone market. Drones and eVTOL have been deemed the future of sustainable, emission-free personal and military air travel, as well as the next evolution of home delivery.

Harmony Aeronautics, a fellow Texas-based startup, and GoFly competition finalist, partners with FluxWorks and was a Top 10 2021 NASA iTech Cycle II Forum finalist. Watch Farid Saemi’s presentation at NASA iTech and look for the key enabling technology – magnetic gears.
Magnetically geared motors solve the tribological and reliability issues associated with mechanical gearing, yet can achieve the low speeds needed for quiet propulsion while being up to 3x lighter than the equivalent direct drive motor.
Check out our partner’s website. Thanks NASA iTech for having Harmony and FluxWorks!
